Security and Privacy Overview
NuQloud has two security layers: your cloud account and any linked decentralized accounts. Protect both.
Your responsibilities
- keep your Authentication File and password secure;
- keep independent backups of important decentralized accounts;
- review shares and public links;
- confirm whether a QDN publication is public or private;
- approve only actions you initiated and understand;
- sign out of shared devices and review unexpected sessions.
Provider responsibilities
Your provider or private-server operator manages availability, updates, backups, network protections, enabled services, and operational access. Ask for its retention, backup, AI, incident-response, and recovery policies when those details matter to you.
Decentralized does not automatically mean private
Public QDN resources are meant to be discoverable. Private publishing encrypts content, but resource metadata and availability can follow different rules. Ordinary cloud shares have separate access controls.
