Managed Recovery

Managed Recovery is an optional, provider-enabled way for an already signed-in user to recover an escrowed decentralized backup password.

How it works

  1. You opt in and select an eligible linked account.
  2. NuQloud verifies the current backup password.
  3. You choose a recovery passphrase known to you.
  4. The server stores an encrypted escrow record.
  5. During recovery, an administrator issues a short-lived, one-time code.
  6. You provide that code and your recovery passphrase to reveal the backup password once.

Failed attempts are limited and can temporarily lock recovery. Administrator codes expire and cannot be reused.

What it cannot do

Managed Recovery is not a reset for a locked-out cloud account, does not reveal a local login password, and does not replace your independent Authentication File or wallet backup. The server runtime participates during an active recovery, so review your provider's trust and operational policy before enrolling.
