Frequently Asked Questions

Is NuQloud the same as Nextcloud?

NuQloud is a connected private-cloud product built with compatible open-source components, including Nextcloud. Some companion apps may retain Nextcloud branding, but you connect them to your NuQloud server.

Is everything I save published to Qortal?

No. Ordinary Files storage remains on the NuQloud server. QDN publishing requires a separate action and confirmation.

Why can I not see a documented feature?

Your server may need an update, the app may be disabled, your plan or group may not include it, or the capability may be a preview/foundation. Check feature availability and ask your provider.

Can support recover my Authentication File or password?

Do not assume so. Keep your own protected copy. Managed Recovery, where enabled, has a narrower purpose and is not a general cloud-account reset.

Current NuQloud account management supports multiple linked accounts. Compatible actions use the selected active account.

Is private QDN publishing invisible?

Private publishing encrypts content, but resource existence or other metadata may remain observable depending on the resource type and access path.

Why did a decentralized app ask me to unlock or approve something?

The app requested access to a linked account or an action such as publishing, signing, or spending. Approve only when the request matches what you initiated.

Can I use NuQloud on mobile?

Yes. Talk is recommended for chat and call notifications. The compatible Files app supports access, uploads, and photo backup. Use the mobile browser or PWA for NuQloud-specific Dashboard and QDN actions.

Are Talk and Q-Chat the same?

No. Talk provides cloud conversations, calls, and meetings. Optional Q-Chat uses linked Qortal accounts and the Qortal Hub group-chat interface. It has separate wallet permissions and currently does not provide direct messages or calls in the embedded interface. See Q-Chat.

Can Appointments collect live payments?

Do not infer this from a payment connection being configured. The SHEF booking workflow currently supports test payments and explicitly configured gratis test services; live checkout remains blocked. Standard scheduling is a separate profile. See Appointments and Commerce.

Where should I report a problem?

Account, plan, storage, outage, and server-specific problems go to your provider. Documentation corrections can be proposed in the public docs repository without including private account information.
