Mail

NuQloud Mail is a webmail client. It lets you read and send mail from an existing email account inside NuQloud.

What You Need

Ask your email provider for:

  • Email address.
  • Email password or app password.
  • IMAP server and port.
  • SMTP server and port.
  • Security type, usually SSL/TLS.

Add an Email Account

  1. Open Mail.
  2. Add account.
  3. Enter your email address.
  4. Enter the password or app password.
  5. If automatic setup fails, enter IMAP and SMTP settings manually.
  6. Send a test email to yourself.

Common Mail Features

  • Read and send email.
  • Search mail.
  • Attach files.
  • Save attachments to Files.
  • Use folders.
  • Mark messages as important.
  • Handle calendar invites if supported.

App Passwords

Some email providers require an app password instead of your normal password.

Use an app password when:

  • Your email account uses two-factor authentication.
  • Your provider blocks normal password login from mail clients.
  • Automatic setup fails even though your password is correct.

Mail vs Q-Mail

NuQloud Mail is for normal email accounts.

Q-Mail is for secure Qortal-based messages. It is separate from normal email and may require a registered name and publishing credits.

Quick Troubleshooting

ProblemTry this first
The account will not connectConfirm the provider-supplied IMAP/SMTP hosts, ports, and TLS mode. If the account uses two-factor authentication, follow the provider's app-password process.
Receiving works but sending failsRecheck the SMTP host, port, security mode, and username, then send a small test message to yourself.
Sending works but new mail does not arriveRecheck IMAP settings, refresh the folder list, and look for a provider-side security notice.
A message is delayed or rejectedRead the visible delivery error and verify the recipient address. Persistent delivery problems require the mail provider or NuQloud provider to inspect live mail state.

When requesting support, say which mail provider you use, whether sending, receiving, or both are affected, and include the exact error wording with private details hidden. Never send your email password, app password, authentication file, recovery code, or unrelated message contents to support.
