NuQloud Calendar and Appointments
NuQloud Calendar keeps personal, shared, and team events in one place. Use it to plan meetings, invite people, set reminders, and open a related NuQloud Talk conversation when it is time to meet.
NuQloud Appointments is an optional booking feature. Your provider must enable it before you can create public booking pages.
Start With Calendars
Create separate calendars for different purposes so you can share only what is appropriate.
- Open NuQloud Calendar from the app menu.
- In the calendar list, choose the control to add a calendar.
- Give it a clear name, such as
Personal,Team,Client meetings, orBookings. - Choose a color that is easy to distinguish.
- Save it.
Use a shared team calendar for confirmed events, rather than sending screenshots or duplicate messages. Each person can decide whether to display it alongside their personal calendar.
Create and Update an Event
- Select the date and time in the calendar.
- Add a clear title. Prefer
Project A check-intoMeeting. - Set the start and end time, time zone, and recurrence if needed.
- Add a location, agenda, description, and reminders as appropriate.
- Add attendees when they need an invitation.
- Save the event.
Open the event later to change its details, add an attachment where available, or cancel it. NuQloud can notify attendees of an invitation, update, or cancellation when email and calendar invitation delivery are configured for the account and event.
Create a NuQloud Talk Meeting From Calendar
For a scheduled call, connect the calendar event to NuQloud Talk instead of sending a separate meeting link by hand.
- Create or edit an event.
- Complete the title, time, attendees, and reminders.
- In the event location or meeting option, choose a NuQloud Talk conversation if it is offered.
- Select an existing conversation or allow Calendar to create the event conversation.
- Save the event and send invitations if prompted.
- At meeting time, open the event and select its conversation link, then choose Join call.
The associated Talk conversation can show the upcoming event and its details. An event conversation may be automatically removed after a period of inactivity set by the provider; keep ongoing project discussion in a normal team conversation.
Create a Calendar Event From NuQloud Talk
If the discussion already lives in a NuQloud Talk conversation, schedule the meeting there:
- Open the conversation.
- Open its actions and choose the option to schedule a meeting, if available.
- Add the title, date, time, description, and invitees.
- Choose whether to include all conversation participants or selected people.
- Save the meeting.
The event is then available in NuQloud Calendar. This is useful for a chat that turns into a meeting and needs a time, reminders, and clear attendee list.
Share a Calendar Safely
- Find the calendar in the left-side list.
- Open its sharing settings.
- Add the person or group who needs access.
- Choose the least access needed, such as viewing availability or editing events, when your provider's configuration offers those choices.
- Review existing shares periodically and remove access that is no longer needed.
Before sharing externally, confirm which details recipients can see. A shared calendar can reveal names, locations, meeting patterns, and availability even if attendees cannot edit it.
Use Reminders and Recurring Events
- Add a reminder for meetings where people need advance notice.
- Use a recurring event for a regular meeting, then edit only the occurrence that changes.
- Include a short agenda or the relevant NuQloud Talk conversation so participants can prepare.
- Check the time zone before inviting people in other regions.
Use Appointments for Booking Links
If NuQloud Appointments is available to you:
- Open Appointments.
- In the standard scheduling profile, follow the first-use booking-page wizard or select Continue setup on an unfinished page.
- Give the page a clear name, choose a weekly schedule and writable calendar, and verify its time zone.
- Review organizer details, duration, conflict calendars, and optional reminders or meeting settings.
- Save a disabled draft while reviewing it, or publish when ready and permitted.
- Copy the enabled booking link and share it only with the intended audience.
Test a booking with a colleague before sending the link broadly. Confirm that it creates the correct calendar event, respects unavailable time, and sends the expected confirmation. Email notices and .ics invitations depend on the provider's email and appointment configuration.
An administrator can instead select the separate SHEF profile, whose guided setup is Organization → Payments → Service → Test and share. Its payment workflow is test-only; live checkout is blocked. The standard scheduling wizard does not imply that paid bookings are ready for production. See Appointments and Commerce.
Use Calendar on Mobile
You can open NuQloud Calendar in a mobile browser. To use its calendars in the phone's built-in calendar app, set up CalDAV sync as described in Set Up Mobile Access.
After sync is complete, create a test event on one device and confirm it appears on the other before relying on it for an important appointment.
Quick Troubleshooting
| Problem | Try this first |
|---|---|
| An invitee did not receive an event notice | Confirm the attendee address, save the event again if appropriate, and ask the provider to verify calendar email delivery if notices continue to fail. |
| A Talk meeting option is missing | Confirm both NuQloud Talk and NuQloud Calendar are enabled for your account; the provider may not expose the integration on every deployment. |
| A calendar is missing on the phone | Open the CalDAV sync app or account settings, confirm the calendar is selected, then allow the device time to synchronize. |
| A booking time conflicts with another event | Check that the appointment configuration is using the correct availability calendar and that the event has synchronized. |
Practical Pattern for Team Meetings
- Keep the meeting series in a shared NuQloud Calendar.
- Link the event to a NuQloud Talk conversation.
- Use the conversation for the agenda, files, decisions, and follow-up.
- Use the calendar event for time, reminders, attendees, and changes.
