Start Here

The safest first setup takes about ten minutes. You will create your account, protect your decentralized identity, and choose how to access NuQloud on each device.

Before you begin

Have these ready:

• the invitation or server address supplied by your provider;
• a modern browser;
• a secure place to store an Authentication File and password;
• enough uninterrupted time to finish the first sign-in.

Complete your first setup

1. Follow your invitation and create the account.
2. Download the NuQloud Authentication File when offered.
3. Store the file and its password securely outside NuQloud.
4. Open the Dashboard and follow the built-in setup guide.
5. Install the NuQloud PWA on your main computer.
6. Add the compatible desktop Files client if you want local folder sync.
7. Add Talk on mobile if chat and call notifications matter to you.
8. Review your linked decentralized account and make a current backup.
9. Request publishing credits only if you plan to publish or use actions that require them.

:::warning Do not lose both parts

An Authentication File without its password—or the password without its file—may not be enough to establish your identity on a new device. Do not send either item to someone claiming to be support.
