Understand QDN Publishing
QDN publishing is a deliberate copy or update from NuQloud Files into the Qortal Data Network. It is different from storing a file in the cloud or creating a normal cloud share.
| Action | Where data lives | Who can access it |
|---|---|---|
| Save in Files | Your NuQloud server | You and people you share with |
| Create a cloud share | Your NuQloud server | Selected users or anyone with the share link |
| Private QDN publish | QDN, with content encryption | People or apps with the required key context |
| Public QDN publish | QDN | Anyone able to resolve the resource |
Queue and status
Publishing may enter a queue while NuQloud estimates cost, waits for an unlock, or processes a batch. Status markers distinguish published, stale, unpublished, and folders containing published descendants. A stale marker means the cloud copy changed after the last QDN publication.
Before you confirm
Check the resource mode, estimated credits, selected files, linked account, and whether the content may safely be public. Never publish an Authentication File or private backup publicly.
