Appointments and Commerce
NuQloud Appointments and NuQloud Commerce are separate optional apps. An administrator must enable access and choose the supported booking profile. Neither an installed app nor a configured payment connection proves that live paid bookings are ready.
Standard appointment scheduling
The standard NuQloud/Generic profile offers a first-use booking-page wizard:
- Choose a page name, weekly schedule, and writable calendar.
- Check the calendar time zone and organizer details.
- Configure optional directory, duration, conflict-calendar, reminder, or Talk settings as needed.
- Save a disabled draft or publish when ready and permitted.
- Use Continue setup to resume an unfinished page.
Existing pages are preserved. Availability still depends on the provider's staging/access controls and on real Calendar, Talk, and email configuration. See Calendar and Appointments.
SHEF booking is a separate test workflow
An administrator must explicitly select the SHEF client profile. Its current setup is Organization → Payments → Service → Test and share. Saved drafts, published profile revisions, enabled services, and a successful test booking are different states; completing setup does not prove that a booking was tested.
Implemented test features include paid packages, optional Talk rooms and email notices, rescheduling, reminders, staff controls, and explicitly configured unlisted gratis services. They must be individually configured and checked. Historical bookings retain their original profile and financial terms.
Live Appointments checkout remains blocked. Prepared live connections do not remove that gate. Do not accept real payment or present a test booking page as a live service. Gratis booking is an explicit test configuration, not an automatic fallback when a price or payment connection is missing.
What Commerce does
Commerce stores configured merchant credentials on the server and exposes registered, application-bound payment operations. Its management interface has connection/readiness controls and read-only operational diagnostics for authorized administrators or explicitly delegated users.
Consumer apps own their booking or service rules. A successful browser return from checkout is not proof of payment; the server must verify the payment state and fulfill the correct original booking. Cancelling an appointment does not necessarily issue a refund. Follow the displayed cancellation/refund policy and ask the provider to resolve disputed states.
What it does not replace
Commerce is not the provider's account-plan billing system and is not a merchant of record. Your NuQloud hosting package, storage quota, invoice, or refund request still belongs with your provider. Do not place payment credentials or customer records in a documentation issue or screenshot.
