Administrator Overview

This section gives public, operationally safe guidance for NuQloud providers and private-server administrators. Exact commands and environment-specific secrets belong in the deployment repository, not public documentation.

Administrator responsibilities

  • maintain supported platform and app versions;
  • create and verify backups before upgrades;
  • configure trusted public URLs and reverse proxies consistently;
  • protect service credentials and Qortal node API keys;
  • define sign-in, invitation, theming, AI, recovery, and federation policies;
  • tell users which features are enabled and which are previews;
  • test Files, Talk, OIDC, background jobs, notifications, and QDN routes after changes.

Delegated roles

Delegated roles such as NQ_Admin or provider-specific operations roles should receive only the functions they need. They must not gain the unrestricted authority of the built-in administrator. In particular, delegated users should not be able to add members to the built-in administrator group or override an administrator-enforced theme policy.
